Haaay... yan kasi, kept complaining about PLDT MyDSL and how bad their service was. I'd rather have their sucky service now than nothing at all!

As if I have a choice... I just moved and the place I'm staying at now has no available internet option whatsoever! I mean there is dial up... blech. Anyway, according to the ISPs, they are still undergoing negotiations with the building admins, so Globe DSL and Destiny cable are still out of the picture. Being in a condo is not easy.

Funny thing is, the older buildings adjacent to ours already have internet available in their units. Sigh. Last update was that we'd have internet by May. It's May and still no internet.

I wrote an article on not having internet, and it focuses on Smart Bro Prepaid, so if you're interested in that or want to see what some people think of it, just head on down to my Cnet Blog. In teh meantime, I will suck up as much online time as I can here at the office... hahaha! Guess that means more "overtime". =P

Here's a few stats for you folks:

In the past 3 months, I have called PLDT DSL Customer service a record of 9 times. More if you count the times when no one would answer. That's an average of 3 calls a month for this year alone.

Out of those times that I was able to get in touch with someone on their end, I've been able to talk to a supervisor once. Once. And I had to stay home that day because they would not escalate my call that morning, so I had no choice but to wait for their damn supervisor in the afternoon. I asked to talk to a supervisor at 8AM and was able to talk to one at around 5PM. I waited the whole damn day.

The past 3 months, my connection only got up to its intended speed of 700mbps or more a grand total of... 3 days! That's the one weekend right after I talked to the supervisor.

Right now, I am typing on my notepad because, I have been trying to connect since 10:30 PM. It's already 11:40 PM and still no connection. Sure I was able to connect a few times... for about 1 minute. Just enough time to open my home page. Yehey!

I just finished talking to another customer service rep (after waiting for about 10 mins on the line mind you) and their only reply to me is: sorry sir we'll look into it.

Basically, there's nothing I can do but to shut up and take it up the ass.

And you know what ticks me off the most? I have friends who tell me their PLDT is fine and they're wondering why I keep complaining. So what the hell is wrong?

I tell you... your best bet before getting any type of ISP is to ask the neighbors what they're using, and find out how it is. You can also check the forums, like TipidPC, etc, and ask around for info on what's best for your area. Because as it is now, I regret paying this much money each month for a service I can hardly use. If I had known PLDT would be this bad here, I would have never subscribed in the first place.

No wonder ISPs demand you to stay with them for a year... so in the event that they swindle you out of your money, you have no choice but to suck it up.

I'm going to call customer service again... I wish I could get a refund.

I've a bad feeling by the time I post this, it will be morning already...

Seems there's something wrong with our internet lately. Mapa-opisina or mapa-bahay, ang BAGAAAAAAAAL! Hindi ko maintindihan kung ano nangyari pero tumatawag ako sa PLDT customer care and ito ang tumambad sa akin:

1) Sabi nila sorry daw sa intermittent internet connection kasi may naputol daw sa international data link eklavu, and inaayos na daw ng whoever para mapabilis ang internet.

2) Naka-hold ako sa PLDT customer service for 20 mins now. Paulit-ulit ang kanta at ang mensaheng "sorry all our agents are still engaged at the moment." Nakakabobo yung music.

...

Anyway, ang hindi ko lang maintindihan is bakit ang hirap din mag-connect ng net ko from the house? May kinalaman ba ang pag-log in ng DSL ko sa international data cable na yan? Wa ko pake kung mabagal, basta maka connect ako at makapag-download overnight. Hehe.

Pangalawa, ilan ba ang agent nila? Isa? Dalawa? Bakit ang tagal sagutin? Kakainis lang isipin na nagkalat ang call center sa metro manila pero pag tumatawag ka sa local, parang, hello? Sorry lang ang naririnig ko nang paulit ulit.

Record ko lang yung music nila para may bago akong ringtone hehehe.

So anyway, I ask again is anyone else having problems with their internet?
