hehe.. nice to see another gamer around =P
personally, i have some thoughts on World of Warcraft as well..
Blizzard is a great game developer, but this is their first MMO.. and being an MMO, it's much different from their previous desktop titles..
The first noticeable thing about WoW is that it's heavily quest based.. even items, the good ones, are obtained only thru quests.. this solves the 'grind' problem found on most MMOs, since there is virtually no grind due to quests.. exp on quests also resolves the problem of 'camping' certain mobs..
exploits related to virtual items, specially selling of these thru ebay, has also been solved by Blizzard, once an item has been equipped, it can no longer be traded,, so selling these on ebay is a big no no.. although selling of gold is still there.. on day 1 of WoW release.. 1 gold was available for $39.95..
but there is one inherent weakness present to blizzard RPGs.. a very weak economic system.. in WoW, where money is very easy, and powerful items are obtained thru quests, the game will come to a point wherein money will be of very little value, although occurence of this is delayed by very expensive luxuries like mounts, the end result is still inevitable.. soon WoW's economy will be reminiscent to that of Diablo2..
graphics isn't the best side of WoW either, Blizzard preseved the WC3 look of the characters and environment, so that the graphical representation of background lore is still in tact..
still overall, Blizzard did a fairly good job.. for people looking for roleplaying and are not much into graphics, WoW could be the game for you.. ^_^
